This gives you a very affordable bone-conducting headset that gives you the most features you need. Our rating caters to anyone who is looking to own an open ear headset, to listen to music on the go. If this is what you want, then check it out.
Here are some of the main features most people have rated highly or poorly about the YouthWhisper Lite Wireless Headphone:
Comfort
They are comfortable and fit well alongside facemasks, hats, beanies, helmets, and sunshades.
They are very lightweight; you may often forget they are on your head.
This makes them an ideal choice for working in settings or places, where you need to be in full awareness of your environment. For working in a factory, they can be safely used and worn alongside approved PPE.
They are designed to be flexible, but may not always sit well along the back of your neck. This is especially true when you wear shirts with thickened neck collars.
Comfortable enough for most middle-aged children and adolescents, they could wear them to school and also use them at home.
This can be a choice for your kids, with smaller ears or for those who hate using earbuds.
They may dislike using earbuds for any number of reasons such as; being too large and hurtful in their ears, or when they frequently fall out of their ears and get misplaced too often, and you always need to replace them with new earbuds. You can check here to see other bone conduction headphones for small heads.
It does get out of place, whenever you lie on your back, needing you to always adjust it back into place.
However, for some people with really large head sizes, they may not fit on well. So this unit may not be an ideal choice for them.
Also, children with rather smaller head sizes may notice they can’t really look up when using the headset lest it falls off.
Battery life
It delivers on an average of about 6 hours of battery life on a single full battery charge.
It also charges rather quickly, using a standard micro USB charger. This is comparable in quality to other more expensive wireless Bluetooth headphones.
Though, some have complained their units rarely matched the numbers above, during their use.
Sound quality
The sound quality is decent to hear, certainly not spectacular as commonly noted in most bone-conducting headsets.
You can wear it alongside earplugs, which can slightly improve the audio quality, with a semblance of deeper bass.
But, you should be aware that the headset was designed, to maintain an open ear way so you can hear all that’s going on around you.
People with outsized heads, when they use headsets, may find that the headset does not hold well against their heads.
This greatly affects the quality of the sounds they hear. When they press it against their heads, it sounds alright. When they stop pressing on it, it sounds very quiet and with lots of basses, distortions are noted.
For people with smaller head sizes, the lack of a firmer grip tends to make the volumes on whatever they listen to very thin. This is such that they will need to increase the volume all the way up to hear well.
It is even worse to listen to anything in very noisy environments, as they will find it challenging to hear anything.
They even noted having trouble communicating with anyone over the phone, as they are barely heard when they call with it.
Though the call audio quality is great, it is decent enough for day-to-day usage. If you need an open ear headset for active work or business calls, you can check out the Aftershokz Opencomm.
Moisture-wicking
It can survive most day-to-day active heavy-duty usage from working out, jogging, and running that produce lots of sweat, except you do sweat more so heavily, especially during summertime, this should get you by.
It can also survive most normal rainfall incidents or a sudden drop in a basin filled with water. You can wipe it with a dry piece of clothing, place it in a well-aerated area, and allow it to air dry completely. However, it is not safe for underwater swimming.
Tough Anti-Violent Bending Resistant Frame
The titanium alloy frame is strong enough to allow for easy bending and twisting around the back of your neck.
As you wear or remove the headset it should expand and contract back to its original, after each use.
It helps the headset to last for long periods of time, even after frequent usage.
PROS AND CONS
Pros
- Good fit for working out and strolling
- Hear things around you and music at the same time
- Good battery life
Cons
- Not waterproof
- Leaner bass.
Verdict
As we have revealed earlier to you about the main features, so you can become familiar with the YouthWhisper Lite Headphone.
You may prefer the headset for all it can offer you, ranging from a lightweight and open ear design to quite an appropriate sound performance.
You get a headset that should tick all the right boxes, for a desirable bone conduction headset, from its well-rated features.
Right out of the box, the headphone is ready to deploy and use, and can fit will into your everyday schedules.
It is not a top choice for people with extra-large heads.

Bone Conduction Technology
A combination of bone conduction technology and an open ear design makes protecting your hearing, hearing sounds from your surroundings, and listening to music from your smartphone possible at the same time.
The headphones lie next to your cheekbones and send sounds as vibrations directly into the inner ear. This system lets you hear music, without passing sounds through the ear canal.
It is different from conventional headphones and earbuds, where sound passes along the outer ear to the eardrum.
This makes the technology a good choice for people with some specific forms of hearing abnormalities.
This makes it a good hearing aid support. The hearing aids headphones are designed to be suitable for the elderly or hearing impaired, to enable them to watch TV, or make phone calls and communicate with others around them.
So you can use both your hearing aid and the YouthWhisper lite headphone together.
Bone conduction may not work for people with fully aged or calcified ear nerves.
This means that for someone with hearing difficulties to be able to benefit from the technology of bone conduction, they must be able to hear the sound of teeth gnashing together.
This also does a good job at preserving and protecting your hearing, by letting do without having anything in your ears, while you can still listen to music, podcast, etc.
You may need to use earplugs for listening to music or making phone calls in noisy areas.
You also get the benefit of hearing things going on around you, while you listen to music during road walks, biking or hiking around hills, or making phone calls.
Thus, almost guaranteeing your safety always, as no one can easily sneak up on you or hear a car honking as they pass by. Even when you are indoors, you can also hear the doorbell ring, as you do your dishes and watch out for your kids.
Comfortable Fit For Wearing
You get a comfortable open ear headset that sits and fits well on your temples.
This is made possible by a design that uses flexible lightweight titanium wraparound headbands, with a soft silicone patch in close contact with the head.
This makes it very comfortable to wear all day long; you may even forget you are still wearing it on your head after some time. You may only realize when the music has stopped, and then a call comes in.
It being so light, and without wires, makes it easy to pack along for travel trips and outdoor events.
Even for those with larger head sizes, it would sit fine on the head, save for the firm grip.
As you don’t have to put anything in your ears, there’s no in-ear discomfort from it. Its grip is firm enough, but not too much that you’ll feel like removing it off your head.
Large Battery Capacity:
You get a larger battery capacity that should last long on every single full charge. It can even be on standby mode and last up to 20 days.
If you make phone calls activity you can expect the battery to last up to 6 to 8 hours. And for listening to music, the battery is expected to last for the duration of 6 hours on a single full charge.
This makes listening to music and making lengthy calls a truly worthwhile experience, as you don’t have to frequently be removing the headset to charge it.
This works as in similar bone conduction headsets, unlike what you get with Apple Airpod which has to be returned to the case for charging after about an hour of usage.
It is also easy to charge, by utilizing the widely available micro USB charger. This ensures you are never in a bind of where and how to charge it, as it easily fits with your existing chargers at home or at work.
So no worries when the battery goes flat, you can almost always charge it anywhere. If the charger gets spoilt you can simply walk up to your local electronic shop, and buy a replacement charger for it.
This is due mainly because it uses a standard widely available micro USB charger and charging port.
Fast and Stable Bluetooth Connection
You get the trending Bluetooth 5.0 Connectivity, which is faster and more stable than the previous generation of Bluetooth 4.2.
This lets you make much quicker and more stable connections to your smartphones and other devices.
Regardless of the device operating software, so long as it is Bluetooth compatible and enabled, be it iOS or Andriod smart devices: phones, tablets, laptops, and or PCs.
It ensures you can maintain a stable connection over a range of about 30 feet from the source so that you can move around your home more freely than before.
You can move away from your phone, to a farther distance before you begin to experience a breakup in its Bluetooth connections.
You also have no need for messy wires and cable connections, which can accidentally trip you over. So no wires get in the way of your exercises, or fun activities.
It however can only pair with one device at a time. You’ll need to disable the connection to pair it up with another Bluetooth device.
If you need an Open ear headset with Multipoint pairing you can check out the Aftershokz Aeropex, for a cheaper alternative check out the Tayogo S2.
Overall, you get an open ear design which makes it very comfortable to wear all day if needed, and lets you hear callers or listen to music without completely plugging yourself away from the world around you.

Customer Feedback
Below we showcase balanced feedback from actual customers. They have written down their reviews from their own personal experiences with the use of the YouthWhisper Lite headset.
We sourced them from across the web.
Positive Feedback
I was not familiar with bone conductive headphones. I just wanted a lightweight Bluetooth headphones that I could use while I exercise on the treadmill.
I got to find out through research that the headphones were designed to avoid been inserted into the ear canal.
The padded earpieces lie on the cheekbones, just away from your ears. Then through vibrations sound is transmitted to your ears, letting you to enjoy music and still be aware of your surroundings.
It is a good choice for someone that wants to listen to music when exercising outside, but still wants to feel connected to the world around them.
Working out with them on the treadmill, was also very comfortable for me. They hang over the ear and stay put, without wiggling around as I move.
The headphones was easy to pair. Had no problems pairing it with my smart television, which I watch as I keep up with my exercise instructor as I exercise.
If you want them to just listen to music alone, they are not the best for me. Certainly not designed for high-quality audio entertainment, due to the way the audio is heard.
Though the audio was very clear and no dropouts during use.
I found they were truly sweat-proof. Whenever I am done exercising on the treadmill, I clean them with an alcohol prep pad.
By the next workout, I just turn them back on and the Bluetooth reconnects automatically.
I had a call, as I was assessing the audio output quality of my iPhone to the headset. I tapped once on the multifunctional button to pick up the call, it also very audible for both of us (myself and my caller).
To wrap up, these headphones met my expectations very well. I did not have anything blocking my ear as I was exercising.
I thoroughly loved that I could listen to music and also be able to pay close attention to what is going on around me simultaneously. I appreciate the technology and how it works.

Critical Feedback
My first pair of bone-conducting headsets.
They almost all looked similar in shape and design, but found some drawbacks while using them.
First, they take up the same location as my eyeglasses above the ear, these added some extra weight to that area.
Second, I found that the speaker part of the headphone, always rested on the tragus of my ear as opposed to my temple. This added some discomfort and ear fatigue.
Third, the sound was definitely not rich, unlike what you can expect from a pair of Beats or Bose headphones. You should cool down your expectations, if you were expecting otherwise. Sound quality was just okay enough. It does however improve when you use some ear plugs, however the headphones were designed to keep my ears open.
Fourth, I found the back band not to be adjustable, this made it difficult to lie down in bed and enjoy listening to exciting books or relaxing music. Resting by side sleeping only makes the speaker to be displaced off the side of your head, interupting your audio.
Lastly, I always had some difficulty answering phone calls while wearing the headset. I had to first disconnect the Bluetooth, and then manually pick up my phone call.
