- Comfortable and lightweight headsets
- A headset that can complement your workout regimens
- Headphones that are a good fit for biking or for working in your yard.

Who Should Not Buy Vidonn F3?
Those who will not benefit from using the Tayogo S5 bone conduction headphone may include;
- Audiophiles
- People who suffer from Sensorineural deafness
- Anyone who wants a swimming bone conduction headphone
This is not a great choice for Audiophiles. Bone Conduction Headphones do not fully recreate the perfect audio performance.
From frequent observation and experience, they work best for people who like listening to audiobooks or their favorite tunes, while they are out biking, walking, hiking, or working out.
Since it leaves your ears open to hear the world around you, the core emphasis here is on the safety aspect of being aware of your environment.

Our Rating: 4.2/5
This should give you a more than decent bone conduction headset experience, delivering to you much of what you need. If that’s what you are looking for, then go on with our guide for you.
Here are some of the main features most people have rated highly or poorly about the Vidonn F3 Open Ear Wireless Sports Headset:
Sound quality
The sound quality is good enough for bone conduction technology. Compared to the quality of convectional earbuds, you will find the bass to be lacking.
However, the focus with bone conduction is to have open ears both indoors and outdoors, to maintain awareness of your environment.
The sound you hear feels like the radio is playing in the background.
There’s also reduced sound leakage compared to the F1.
It is not as clear as the Aftershokz Aeropex. Even people, who are hard of hearing, should find the quality to be decent enough for frequent usage.
Overall, the sound quality works well for most activities, whether you’re outdoors running/hiking, or indoors at the gym.
Controls
The headset comes with a single tiny multifunction button, which is used to operate the headset.
The single button control is located on the left side of the headset; you can do a single tap to pause/play, double tap to skip forward, and triple tap to skip backward. Press and hold to activate your preferred voice assistant.
No volume controls, basically you will have to pretty much use your own preset volume level for most use, or use your smartphone, laptop, or other smart devices to regulate the volume of the headset.
You could also slide it a bit forward or backward on your head, to adjust the intensity of the volume.
Noise Cancelling
This does a fair decent job at that, but not so great at isolating most background noise.
If you are in a quiet background, making and receiving phone calls should be no problem. You may not want to give it a try in a noisy environment.
Although the specs preclude so, for the most experience it is decent at best. The microphone does feel a tiny bit clearer than the Aeropex.
If you are seeking a more immersive experience when listening to audiobooks, music, or podcasts. You can make good use of earplugs to filter out most sounds/noise in your background, from your kids playing video games, or your partner watching TV.
Comfort
The F3 is smaller compared to the Vidonn F1.
Fits well with persons with smaller to average head sizes. It is also much better suited to work with shorter hair.
However, very small heads will find it hard to fit, as it may hang rather loosely at the back of your neck and move a bit more as you move around.
For people with a larger head, there’s a bit more forward push to the headset. So going for the F1 may be a more ideal choice if you have a larger head size.
Not as comfy as the Aftershokz Aeropex, with a much tighter band at the back. With reduced forward shuffling on the cheekbone.
You may also experience some pain on the side of the cheekbone, where the body of the headset sits, due to it not being padded.
While playing songs deeply loaded with base, you should feel a bit of tingle at higher volumes.
It is also comfortable enough to wear alongside your glasses, under a helmet. As well as in combination with an earpiece, for a two-way radio.
Size
The size is the primary standout feature here. It is much smaller than the Vidonn F1.
However, the Aftershokz Aeropex is much smaller than the F3s but similar in size to the Trekz Air.
Value for money
The value for money you should get, alongside the sound quality, clear mic, all-around comfort, and ease of use is hard to beat at the sales price.
Though the Aeropex is still the best bone conducting headset currently available to buy now, the price tag is 3x the price of the F3.
You should get a more than decent value for your money.
PROS AND CONS
Pros:
- Made for average to smaller head sizes
- Decent noise cancelation
- Multiple color options
- Decent battery life
- Very Affordable price
Cons:
- No volume button
- No USB port dust cap
- May not fit perfectly
- Tiny multifunction button
Verdict
As we have expressed above concerning the main features that you get from the Vidonn F3 Headphone.
We surmise that you may prefer to make a choice for the headset for all it offers, from a simplistic and lightweight open ear design to a more than subtle audio performance.
A lot of people have commented, argued, criticized, and acknowledged, these features as a higher rating compared to others.
This gives you a headset, which checks out all your boxes for what you expect from a bone conduction headphone.
The F3 is a decent choice for a less expensive headset. While the Aeropex may be a rather expensive buy for most entrants to the bone conduction space. It is more advisable to spend some extra dime to pick up the F3 as opposed to the F1.
You get a much lighter design and slightly better sound with the F3 than the F1. If you have a much larger head size, then consider the F1 instead. If you are still not sure which to buy amongst the Vidonn headsets, just buy the F3.
If you’re on the hunt for a headset to wear while exercising or at work, these are very comfortable and sound as good as any other portable, affordable bone conduction headsets.
They don’t work so great for noise canceling. It’s also not a recommended choice for use on mass transit, or for drowning out the noise of kids on a playground.
It is also not for anyone looking for the best in premium audio quality.
It is cheap enough to be considered a disposable property, however, it is decent enough to pull through regular workout sessions.
The performance overall is satisfying thus far, considering the price you pay.

Vidonn F3 Review
Features
- BONE CONDUCTION TECHNOLOGY
- BLUETOOTH V5.0 FAST PAIRING
- SWEATPROOF – SECURE FIT DESIGN
- CHARGING TIME 2 HOURS – BATTERY LIFE 6 HOURS
Bone Conduction Technology
You can listen to music and also simultaneously hear everything going on in your environment.
The F3 Wireless sports headphones work by sending sounds as vibrations; the sound is transmitted through your cheekbone to the inner ear.
The headset maintains an Open-Ear design, thus it helps you be alert and aware of your surroundings, enabling you to avoid danger while at the same time enjoying your favorite music.
Since your ears are now free from ear pods or earpieces; you won’t have to worry about your eardrums being destroyed from frequent use of earphones.
You also get to avoid developing or further worsening ear infections from the use of earphones.
Wireless Bluetooth V5.0 Fast Pairing
It delivers increased speed at wireless Bluetooth connectivity, with reduced latency.
The Bluetooth v5.0 technology makes for a faster wireless pairing with your device, as well as a more stable wireless connection and wireless range spanning about 33 feet without an intervening medium.
You don’t have to move around with wires clogging up and obstructing you every step of your way, as you move around.
You get to quickly pair up your device and listen to your favorite tunes or scheduled programs. Thus you avoid wasting too much time trying to pair and sync up your device to a Bluetooth headset.
When using the headset you won’t have to worry about the connection breaking up from time to time, more like connection hiccups during play. A more stable connection is readily maintained, due to the much improved v5.0 technology.
However, there can be some bodily interference to the signal being produced, so it is best to ensure that your device is placed on the right side of your body. This is the same side as that of the Bluetooth signal receptor of the headset.
You don’t also have to always carry around your smartphone or device all the time, so long as you can easily maintain an open range of up to 33 feet between the headset and your smartphone.
Sweatproof & Secure Fit Design for Long-Term Wear
A comfortable fit to wear a headset that is also water-resistant, which should last over a longer period of time.
It was designed for Sports with high-intensity material of titanium alloys and food-grade silicone. This ensures the headset is more durable and should last much longer.
This helps to achieve a very lightweight design (weighing about 1oz, making it as light as most phone cases).
An ergonomic design for comfortable wearing makes sure you can freely participate in sports and not have to worry about the headset falling off your head.
You could more often forget it on your head, even when the headset is not turned on, because it is that lightweight and comfortable.
IP65 ratings signify that it is water-resistant enough to resist light rain pour and sweat from sporting action. So most daily activity which causes you to sweat is not a deterrent to the use of the headset.
You should be aware that Bluetooth headphones are not very suitable for swimming.
CHARGING TIME 2 HOURS – BATTERY LIFE 6 HOURS
You get quick charging and longer-lasting battery life on a single full charge.
The dual Li-ion battery structure helps to deliver an active battery usage life of 6 plus hours, and a standby time of 8 – 10 days, on a quick charge of about 2 hours.
You should find the battery lasting long enough, to pull through your day with you. You can listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks.
When the battery is low the LED light starts to flash RED in any state. Same goes for when you’re charging the headset, the RED light is constantly flashing.
You do get a micro USB charger, with the headset.
Compared to the Aeropex which comes with its proprietary magnetic cable, you are supplied with 2 magnetic cables.
This utilizes a similar tech to the Magsafe MacBook and the Microsoft Surface Pro connector. This is in contrast with the recent trend of the wide adoption of USB C cables.
However, this also means that if the charger gets misplaced, you can much easily replace the micro USB charger from a retail electronic store near you.

Customer Feedback
Below we showcase balanced feedback from actual customers. They have written down their reviews from their own personal experiences with the use of the Vidonn F3 headphone.
We sourced them from across the web.
Positive Feedback
I like these because it allows me room to listen to music, and also be able to pay attention to what my kids are up to.
I got the pink color variant and I found it to be very comfortable!
I often left it alone, while playing music from my phone non-stop, to test how long the battery will last and to my suprise it averages around 7.5 hours before it switches off!
I did notice that the headset does sound a bit weird, when the volume of the headset from my smartphone is cranked up.
Although, I am not someone who likes listening to audio at very loud volumes.
I appreciate the good value for money I am getting at this very affordable price!
- Barrera
Critical Feedback
It’s just ok for me!
I does not fit in well with my average to large head size.
I am a practising audio engineer, so I do not feel moved by the sound quality (do not blame me for being too critical, it must be due to the nature of my job).
However, if it does fit in well on your head good for you.
I see it more as a way to listen to music or audio as you work, and be able to keep your ears open to hear things going on in your surroundings.

Frequently Asked Questions by Customers
Here are the most common frequently asked questions most people want answers to, before buying the Vidonn F1 bone conduction headset.
Does it come with a charger and charger head (AC Adapter)?
Yes, it does come with a micro-USB charging cable, but no charger head is supplied with it.
You will need to buy a separate USB wall charger head for your use.
Does it come with a USB-C cable?
No, you get a Micro-USB charging cable and not USB-C.
What is the actual frequency range of audible sound?
The frequency range of audible sounds we as humans can detect sounds is from about 20Hz~20KHz.
Is this a mini version as I have a small head?
Yes, it is. However, the size of the headband makes it good wear for people with small to average-sized heads.
You should be aware that if your head size is ultra-small, you may notice that the headphone may be a little loose (as it is non-adjustable) and slip on your head.
But, most people with smaller head sizes who have tried on the headphone, noted that though the headphone does slip a little, overall the headphone still meets their needs for it.
While, a number of others stated that they used a beanie, or a hat to hold it in place.
Are they waterproof enough to swim with?
No, they are not waterproof. They are water-resistant.
They are not good enough for use underwater. So, do not go swimming with the headset.
Besides, it only relies on wireless Bluetooth to function properly, which does not work well underwater. They also have no memory to store audio files.
Most swimming bone conduction headphones make use of MP3 technology, to deliver an uninterrupted music listening experience underwater.
What is the bass like?
The bass is definitely not as good as what you can expect from normal headphones.
However, it is a trade-off we have come to expect with bone conduction headphones.
They work well for outdoor biking, or rock climbing, as well as for working out at the gym.
How are these with podcasts and cycling, are they good?
They do work well together.
You should be careful not to fully crank up the volume, lest the headphones begin to vibrate weirdly.
Making use of normal volume settings as you listen to your favorite podcasts, is advisable to optimize the sound quality.
You may also adjust your equalizer settings to improve the audio quality.
You also get the benefit of maintaining an open ear, in order to be fully aware of the oncoming traffic and other potential dangers around you on the highway or street lanes.
Some users have noted that except the volume is rather high enough, whenever they are out cycling in noisy traffic or on very windy hills, they once in a while struggle to hear what the headphone is playing.
Others say that they do not have issues when running outdoors until they gear up to cycle. The straps of some of their cycling helmets do get in the way, till several adjustments are made to fit them all together.
I want to be able to take phone calls while biking. Would anyone recommend these for cycling?
Yes, it is a good choice for cycling on a bike.
You get the benefit of being able to receive phone calls, and also being able to monitor vehicular traffic as you make your calls.
I like to relax by working in my garden. Will people around me hear what I am listening to?
Yes, people around you can hear what you are listening to, if the volume of the headset is tuned high due to sound leakages.
When you go outdoor gardening with the headphones on, the best way to combat that is to reduce your listening volume.
I have large hands and fingers. Is the control button too small for me?
The multifunction control button is very small and may be very difficult for people with large hands and fingers to use. It suits people with smaller to average-sized hands best to operate the control.
