We have been able to sort through the negative and positive reviews and give our own rating from the varying reviews.

Here are some of the main features most people have rated highly or poorly about the 9 Digital N1:

Sound Quality

The sound quality is a little above average for a bone-conduction headphone.

The more expensive bone conduction headphones do offer better sound quality than these.

You shouldn’t expect BOSE-like sound quality, the bass is lacking and they are also not expensive.

The sound quality on these is still more than decent, and good for calls and for listening to podcasts, and audiobooks.

Hear What’s Going on Around

The open-ear design of these headphones lets you hear what’s going on around you, as you are listening to music.

Since you will be able to hear cars, people, or your kids and pets depending on where you are using the headphone.

So you can be safe indoors or outdoors, being fully aware of all that is happening around you.

As the headphones either stopped working or stopped charging.

Loud Enough

The headphones are loud enough for most daily use and needs.

However, very noisy environments do make increasing the volume on the headphone a necessity.

A few customers who work in the construction industry did report that the headphones were loud enough.

Even considering how noisy their environment must have been, they claimed to have heard their music without any distortions.

Some other customers found them to be too quiet for their liking.

Stating that the headphones were not loud enough even in a very quiet room.

9 DIGITAL N1 REVIEW

Here’s a 9 Digital N1 headphone video review from Thomas Muehler.

FEATURES

  • BONE CONDUCTION HEADPHONES with OPEN-EAR DESIGN
  • 200mAh LARGE BATTERY CAPACITY of RUNNING HEADPHONES
  • LIGHTWEIGHT and DURABLE TITANIUM HEADPHONE SKELETON
  • BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES with STABLE CONNECTION without LAGGING

BONE CONDUCTION HEADPHONES with OPEN-EAR DESIGN

The bone headphones create vibrations that pass sound across the cheekbones direct to the cochlea.

This helps with the use of an open-ear design to keep your ear free.

So you can be alert to your environment and avoid any danger while listening to music through headphones.

This is even more true for outdoor activities, where you are often exposed to dangerous situations while having fun outside.

When indoors and you want to shut yourself away from ambient noise.

Or for when you’re mowing your lawn, and want to reduce the noise entering your ears from the lawnmower.

You can make use of earplugs which can also amplify the sound quality.

They however do leak out sounds at very high volumes, such that those nearby may hear what you’re listening to.

Although this is common to all bone-conduction headphones when their volumes are cranked up.

200mAh LARGE BATTERY CAPACITY of RUNNING HEADPHONES

The battery life supports a performance of around 6.5 hours of music playing time and 8 hours of talking time.

You will only need to fully charge them for 2 hours with the USB charging cable. So you can use them for longer periods of time.

You get about 480 hours duration of standby time.

The wireless bone conduction headphones are both easy to move around with and sweat-proof.

This lets them perform well through heavy moisture and sweat. This makes them a suitable choice for most outdoor sports.

LIGHTWEIGHT and DURABLE TITANIUM HEADPHONE SKELETON

The lightweight bone conduction headphones weigh only 0.88oz.

They are built of a lightweight titanium skeletal frame and have a strong toughness to them.

Such that you can bend them by 360 degrees, and they would still return back to their original shape.

They also use a soft silicone wrapping on the speaker end plate.

This helps to remove and reduce any pressure from being applied to the side of your face.

Thus making them more comfortable to wear for longer periods at a stretch.

And even forget more often that you have them on your head.

They fit in quite snuggly that they won’t fall off from sudden, and fast paced movements.

While the neck strap doesn’t touch against the back of your head.

It makes them easy to wear and use.

As they make running quite comfortable, because they will not get in the way of your exercising.

However they do stick out which makes them rather uncomfortable to lie down with or rest on a headrest like in a car.

While they are quite easy to fit underneath your biking helmets, they are not adjustable.

So they are more tuned for sporting activities.

However, you will find that you can wear them over your head when you do want to lie down, as a fix.

BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES with STABLE CONNECTION without LAGGING

a lady wearing 9 digital n1 headphone, and showing the various functions and properties of the headphone

The headphones rely on Bluetooth 5.0 technology working with the Qualcomm 8635 processor.

This helps in making your calls stable without dropouts in the connection.

They also utilize some noise canceling software to filter out and reduce background noise.

This helps to improve call audio quality during phone calls.

Thus enhancing overall sound quality, while ensuring faster and more stable signal transmission.

You get to have quicker pairing to your devices and smoother phone call reception for you and your callers.

9 DIGITAL N1 CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

Below we showcase balanced feedback from actual customers. They have written down their reviews from their own personal experiences from their personal use of the 9 Digital N1 headset, from across the web.
9 Digital N1 headphone

POSITIVE FEEDBACK

I previously had a pair of AfterShokz headphone, which I had used for a year and misplaced.

I had spent around $120 then, and wasn’t too keen on spending much again, so I got these instead.

I found them to be as good as the AfterShokz, but not by much by much.

Overall the AfterShokz are a bit more comfortable, though they cost two and a half times as much as these headphone, and I don’t think they worth the extra money.

Not condemning the AfterShokz, if you have got the money do go for them.

I believe these are a viable alternative to them, for anyone on a budget.

I would still rate this as 5 stars, the price difference is what nicks this for me.

Be aware that you do get what you pay for with these.

As they are not expensive, they do not offer you BOSE audiophile level for sound quality.

The sound quality is good enough for me, as it like the convenience and the comfort I get from using them online and with my phone.

They are longer lasting and have and been very useful these past few months.

It helps in managing my social anxiety disorder, which keeps getting worse with age.

When I’m outdoors or in the store I can now readily focus on my list.

I usually will focus on the conversations of others closeby and get very anxious.

The headphones are very comfortable to wear for hours at a stretch.

I do have only one issue with it, I would to be able to adjust the back band closer to my head.

The battery lasts for much of the day for my uses, so far.

Really glad to have and use the headphone.

CRITICAL FEEDBACK

To start these headphones are decent at best, not awards to be won here.

I came across many negative reviews which laid complains of poor fitting against the cheekbones, which in turn affects the sound quality or that you can literally feel them vibrating.

While I experienced the same issue earlier, but I did correct that by dipping the curved egde of the headphones into boiling water for a few seconds.

This softened the plastic and allowed me room to gently bend the speaker part inward just until the plastic cooled off and re-hardened.

After the adjustment, they have worked fine ever since.

Regardless, the adjustment turn them into a headphone model to crave for.

They still didn’t offer the same dynamic range as compared to better and more expensive models.

However, they’re also come at a fraction of the price of those expensive bone headphone models.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I more often use them to listen to audiobooks, if you are anything like me, then these are definitely worth the price.

Overtime I have had and used a few different brands of Bone Conduction headphones.

The more expensive ones did offer better sound quality.

This headphone works well with my iPhone.

I have had no problems listening to music or making phone calls.

The sound quality on the headphone is still good.

However, these fit on my head much better than the rest.

They are also very light weight and snuggly fitting.

9 digital n1 red headphone on a record vinyl player

I have found the battery life on these to be very impressive.

I typically use them for around 8 hours a day at work, often cranked high up and never had a dead battery.

I noticed that they do charge up pretty fast.

Still not sure how they managed to do that though.

After getting back home from a whole work day of use, they are fully charged up in a few moments.

I do work at construction firm, and so more often deployed on site.

The headphones have seen better days from unintentional abuse, as a result of the nature of my work.

Though, they still work like a brand new headphone.

When working at the construction site, I am often besieged by a lot of loud noise all day long.

The headphones do get to be loud enough for me to clearly hear the music or podcast without any unusual buzzing or distortion.

For me, most people would not need to even turn the volume beyond the halfway mark.

I do have some friends who complained that theirs had some faults.

Some had a problem with the volume as the sound was too low.

Needing to increase the volume to the maximum, where they experience strong vibrations that are uncomfortable.

Another one complained that it was not comfortable to wear alongside a hat, as the joint frame behind the head keeps getting in the way.

This was made even worse during the winter season, as you could not really enjoy music without exposing the heading to some pretty chilling winds.

Yet another, complained about issues with pairing the headphone via Bluetooth to their laptop.

The laptop runs on Windows OS, there issues behind the problems causing it not to work properly were not clear.

Maybe, the headphones was not tested for compatibility with a PC, or were designed mainly for phones.

While I can say that I have not had nor experienced these issues, I am letting you know what others experiences have been.

Lastly, the headphone is not a strong competitor to the higher-end bone-conducton headphone models, but they are worth the price.
