TAYOGO WB02 – OUR RATING 4.5/5
Looking through some of the reviews of the Tayogo WB02 headphones.
While the reviewers’ responses have been openly positive towards the headphones.
We have been able to sort through the negative and positive reviews and give our own rating from the varying reviews.
Here are some of the main features most people have rated highly or poorly about the Tayogo WB02:
SOUND QUALITY
Out of the water, the sound quality performance is decent.
You will more enjoy the sound when immersed in water because the sound quality is much better.
The sound is much better than the earlier Tayogo WB01.
The sound quality works well for spoken word and symphony (like podcasts, audiobooks, orchestras).
When you use earplugs to keep out environmental sounds and noises, the sound quality seems to improve.
But, the trade off is that you may lose awareness of what is going on around you.
Swimming with or without using earplugs can mean much of a different experience.
However, while using the earplugs you may find that the sound quality remains consistent in or out of the water.
BATTERY LIFE
The one drawback is the rather short battery life of about 5 hours.
While it is not a deal breaker, you may need to charge them more often.
This becomes more of an issue if you are avid swimmer who swims about 3 to 4 times a week.
As you will need to charge them about twice every week if you do swim more than 2 hours per swim per pool visit.
SWIMMING LAPS
They work well for frequent swimming laps, snorkeling, running, cycling, or kite surfing.
It is a good choice for Triathletes.
It makes your swim more enjoyable, with the feeling of audio playing in the background.
It works well for most ardent swimmers who don’t spend more than an hour each day in the pool.
Using them with the swimming buds can help keep your ears dry underwater.
BLUETOOTH
The Tayogo WB02 has Bluetooth with good microphones, so you can make or receive phone calls while you are out of the pool.
Though you can play music through your phone by the poolside, Bluetooth connectivity is poor underwater.
So you may frequently encounter sound drop-offs. Leading to regular interruptions in the sound as you swim.
FM RADIO
The FM radio mode works well, especially where there is a good FM broadcast radio reception.
Though it is a little challenging to change FM stations.
Also, the radio waves reception doesn’t work well underwater, so expect sound dropouts.

Here’s a Tayogo WB01 video review from Triathlon Theory Channel.
FEATURES
- Waterproof Bone Conduction Headphones
- Flexible and Durable
- 8Gb Waterproof Mp3 Player for Swimming, With Bluetooth
- FM and MP3 Mode
Waterproof Bone Conduction Headphones
The WB02 bone conduction headphone is rated IPX8 for waterproofing.
The headphone can be used underwater at a depth of up to 5 meters and not be damaged.
This lets you go swimming, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, or paddleboarding, and enjoy music as you have fun.
Flexible and Durable
The swimming headphone frame is built with titanium alloy.
This lets the headphone undergo a rough bending, and still retain their original shape after being released.
You do get an adjusting belt and buckle, which helps with adjusting the swimming headphone to the size of your head.
The body covering is made of silicone finish, not plastic, which is more comfortable for your skin.
8Gb Waterproof Mp3 Player for Swimming, With Bluetooth
The headphone has internal memory space of about 8GB.
It can hold about 2,000 songs.
They provide support for a variety of audio formats ranging from MP3, APE, FLAC, WMA, and WAV.
Letting you store as many of your favorite songs, podcasts, and audiobooks for your entertainment and motivation as you swim.
It uses a Bluetooth v5.0 connection, for use out of water and with a range of about 10 meters in distance.
While you are listening to a song and you have an incoming call.
It will automatically switch to the answering phone mode.
So you won’t have to worry about missing any important calls, while you are listening to music.
FM and MP3 Mode
It comes with a built-in FM mode to access your favorite FM channels.
So you can hear the News, listen to audiobooks, or music while swimming.
Do note that the FM mode works best out of water or on land.
This is because radio frequencies work poorly underwater.
So you can use the MP3 Player Mode in water, and FM mode on land.

TAYOGO WB02 CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
Below we showcase balanced feedback from actual customers. They have written down their reviews from their own personal experiences from their personal use of the Tayogo WB02 headset, from across the web.
POSITIVE FEEDBACK
I enjoying listening music and podcasts , while being able to monitor my surroundings especially when the children are around.
However, the sound quality outdoors at the poolside isn’t that great, and you will need to block out other sounds or you won’t enjoy them.
The bone headphones do come with earplugs to deal with situations like that.
The quality of the sound is very good for spoken words and symphony.
When I use earplugs the sound quality improves a bit, but I did lose some awareness of my environment.
However, swimming with or without using earplugs is a truly unique experience.
I did find that with earplugs, the sound is unchanging, either in or out of the water.
The bone headphones had enough memory capacity to hold around 11 CDs or more.
It did come with an app that helps to records steps.
But, I didn’t use them because the log in screens were written in the Chinese language.
And I didn’t know how to change them to English language.
The headphones also have both FM and wireless Bluetooth support, but for me I didn’t give a hoot about them.
As wireless radio wave technology doesn’t function underwater, so you can only use the FM and Bluetooth function on land.
I heard that the sound is a bit much better when the headphones are placed under a hair cap.
But the cap has to also cover my ears.
They fitted nicely under my bicycle helmet.
- Dennis
CRITICAL FEEDBACK
I’ve had and used these bone conduction headphones for a couple of months now.
I am writing a review based on my desire to use them well enough to provide an impartial and comprehensive review.
I am an avid swimmer and I do swim a mile everyday in full swimming gear.
From my swim suit, swim snorkel, fins, swim cap and goggles.
Bear in mind that I also have the regular Tayogo MP3 Bluetooth Swimming headphone with the in-ear earbuds.
I believe that the bone conduction headphone is better for performing aerobics and stunts in water.
With the Tayogo MP3 Bluetooth Swimming headphone with earbuds model, I swing them on top of my head, when I swim.
I avoid doing flip turns with them.
I do find that earpieces get waterlogged quite often during swimming and I have to remove them and drain the water.
I do prefer using Bluetooth to MP3, as I often swim quite close to the surface.
I can easily stream podcasts through my phone.
I have never being worried about my phone being stolen by the poolside.
I have found that the Bluetooth signal goes much further than reported.
The signal starts to fade about 40 or 50 yards
