H2O Audio Interval – OUR RATING 4.0/5

Looking through some of the reviews of the H2O Audio Interval headphones.

While the reviewers’ responses have been openly positive towards the headphones.

We have been able to sort through the negative and positive reviews and give our own rating from the varying reviews.

Here are some of the main features most people have rated highly or poorly about the H2O Audio Interval:

Flip turns

You may find it challenging to use, as you find it losing sounds (sound cut-offs) when you regularly do flip turns.

Moreso, when you connect it to your iPhone and you dive under, as Bluetooth connection is very poor underwater.

It is even worse for people who have lots of hair on their heads and don’t wear swim caps.

They may find the headphone moving out of place on their cheekbones, as their hairs move during flip turns.

If you don’t like swim caps, probably try headbands to get them to work better during your flip turns.

Swim Cap

While you can place the headphones under your swim cap to help keep them in a little.

You may find that the sound quality is slightly reduced and you barely hear the music.

It is preferable to wear them on your cap and it also blends in well when you use earplugs.

You can wear a cap that will cover your ears so you won’t have to worry about water in your ears causing sound distortion.

Sound quality

The sound quality of the Audio Interval headphones is decent.

You’re not going to get the sound quality you can expect from Apple Airpods or Beats headphones.

The headphones work well for swimming.

For Swim workout

Using it with the Apple watch makes your swim workouts easier.

It does supply you with energy and the motivation to pull through with your swim workouts.

Though, the challenge is that you would not be able to track your swim laps.

Since the Apple Watch is worn at the back of your head, as opposed to on your wrist.

Below we showcase balanced feedback from actual customers. They have written down their reviews from their own personal experiences from their personal use of the H2O Audio Interval headset, from across the web.
H2O Audio Interval bone conduction headset

POSITIVE FEEDBACK

What I like
  • It works well with my Apple watch, was really nice that I could pre-download podcasts & listen as I swim.
  • Although, I had to listen at a reduced 1x speed, rather than my usual 1.5x – 2x to keep focus during swimming.
  • The audio is very clear underwater & does not wobble, fall out or feel uncomfortable like earbuds.
What I didn’t like
  • When using the apple watch for this, you won’t be able to track your swim laps
  • The Bone Conduction audio isn’t very good out of the water, especially when your surroundings are noisy.

Overall it is a great buy.

I’m very happy with it and have been using it each time I go swimming.

  • Scott

CRITICAL FEEDBACK

It took me a while to figure out how it works, as it was a little tricky to use. I use downloaded songs from Spotify.

Also, when I start the swim workout, I lock the watch face, because it may randomly switch song if I don’t lock it.

I also miss the lap counting on my watch, though, as you are not credited for your daily swim circle.

I do wear a swim cap and it helps when I use earplugs.

Overall, this will help with your long swims.
